My heart always pounds a little when I hear that old them.  I love it that music.  Combining it with the NuBSG was great.  I really like.

I have another one, but it's kind of a flip-flop from the first video...

It's footage from the Skiffy version of BSG, and it's got the Stu Phillips theme, but it's a reworked version by Bear McCreary who does the soundtrack for the series.  The reworked version starts out with a slow, wistful feeling to it and then builds to the main theme that we all know so well.  I had the oddest reaction - it sent chills up my back.  For one moment, I felt like I was looking at BSG as if they had taken the original and just given it an update, instead of drastically reworking the concept like the current show has.  I actually liked it so much, I bought a copy of the Season 2 soundtrack to get it on CD.  I've got like 4 different versions of the Stu Phillips BSG theme at home and I wanted to add this one to the collection.

Here's the YouTube link:

Enjoy!

I do like that one.  It has the atmospheric elements of the current them, but the military and orchesterial elements of the old. Me definetly likey.

Hmmmmm...this gives me an idea. One track on the Season 3 album, "Kat's Sacrifice," would also make an excellent Season 4 theme. Or, if Bear wants to pick up where Season 3 left off, he could adapt "Heeding The Call," which was the lead in to AATW.

BTW Bryan...you get a Hat Tip for the day! 8)

I'm not banned anymore - that only lasted for 24 hours, but the consquences from that particular action are having some serious repercussions within the administration of that forum.

I'm always around HF, but I'm one of those folks that only posts when something really motivates me to post.  I'm glad that you guys like the bits I've been bringing you guys.  It's nice being appreciated.... 8)
