The thing I love the most about S'Ceris is his easy sarcasm. It's so real-world and anti-"Gene's Vision" (a fannish meme I've always considered a contradiction in terms), it makes me cheer out loud. The dialect is just icing on the cake for me.

Sorry, Mr. Cook. I know I'm the one with the dialect.

Hmm, something about Robin's engagement just came into focus.

That's a clear violation of Lefler's Law #22: Never Date a Coworker. (Ref: Enemy Unknown II)

Robin Lefler met Ben Nostrom and started dating him back when he was Chief Engineer aboard the USS Valley Forge, a Galaxy-III class starship mentioned in Hidden Frontier, but never seen.
