Hi Guys,
With new shows, comes new demands on the already stretched CGI department. What we specifically need for our original non-Star Trek production are the following: *CGI Set Builders (any program) Must be able to light the sets well, texture, and model set detail. *Set designers (sketch or CAD OK) Drawing the sets, and/or doing floor plans. If you have skills to both design and construct the CGI sets, even better, but we will happily take either/or. * Animators (any program) Ideally with some focus on landscapes. Forests, planetary surfaces, etc. Also ability to model 1950's era cars would be helpful. * CGI vehicle builders (any program) This would be to help construct the large collection of ships already designed for the show. None of these positions currently offer any pay, and the initial production will be non-profit. But you will have a chance to be a part of a breakout production that aims to capture a new generation of science fiction fans, and hopefully get the interest of mainstream companies. The skies the limit! Please e-mail rob at hiddenfrontier dot com to apply or for more info. Cheers, Rob |

In all seriousness, I wish I had the skills; otherwise, I'd be more than willing to help. Ariel |

Working on a tv movie right now but would like to help if I could when that's all wrapped up.
I think the computer issues I had before (while volunteering for an earlier project for you ) have been rectified . I tried PM'ing but it's not working for me. |

Hey Rob,
My name is Mark, amd I've been doing 3D modeling for years as a hobby. I'm looking to flesh out my portfolio in the hopes of making this a career, and would love to pitch in to help. My program of choice is 3DS Max, and I'm currently self-teaching myself After Effects so I'd be happy to help out with vfx as well. You can contact me at maz1701 at yahoo.com. Cheers, Mark. |

Awesome, Mark!
Most of our interior sets are done in Max so I'd love to see some of your stuff and consider adding you to the team! Busy with EB III this weekend, but if you drop me an e-mail this week, I'd love to see a sample of your work and discuss it from there! Cheers, Rob |

Hey Rob,
Tried to mail you, but the message is bouncing for some reason...anyway, here's a link to my current portfolio... http://www.coroflot.com/mark_azevedo And here's a link to a much larger, but far older portfolio...these may not have the best images on it, so take it with a grain of salt... http://www.vex.net/~madcat/etchings/ Check out Gallery 3 on that site for the best images. Cheers, Mark. |

Agreed - I really liked the runabout model...wouldn't mind seeing that one in action. Thanks! The runabout itself was designed by Galen over at Sci-Fi Meshes. She has since been redesigned and rebuilt by another 3d artist as the Gryphon Class (I believe). That one was the Arrow Class, and one of my first ships...still have a soft spot for it. |

Tried sending you an email but I don't know if it got through. MSN said the mail was delayed..... Have not got the e-mail yet, but will keep an eye out. The PM system will not be available to you until you make 2 more forum posts totaling five. But you might want to put some stuff up on a photo hosting website, or attach to a forum post in the mean time. That always works. Cheers, Rob |
