In Vile Gods, Nevin is told he will lose one of his crew. Who do you think and more importantly, what is your rationale.
I am limiting the poll to the individuals shown to Nevin in his vision. BUT feel free to speculate under 'other'. *modified for spelling* |

I reckon Heather is for the high jump(sorry heather
Of course, Rob might want us to think that and have introduced Heather's character as a red herring!! Other than that I reckon Wosniak might have an heroic end(though I certainly hope not!!!) |

I'm torn on this one. My instinct says it'll either be Stadi or T'Lorra, because of the relationship between them (you wouldn't expect it from how they were interacting in Vile Gods, right?). Probably Stadi, on the basis that there's a lot you can do with T'Lorra, and having a telepathic security chief is only a gimmick you can get so much out of before it gets old.

Remember just because the prophets say it is going to happen, doesn't mean it will happen immediately. Or even in they way we think.
I immediately thought death, but what if someone is just left behind. Or worse yet what if one was a traitor and was lost to the other side. I have a feeling the loss will not happen this season or even the next. Instead I think it will effect Ro and the way he interacts with his crew because he knows one will be lost. |

Actually Kuj, good point about loss not meaning death. However, I thought the tone suggested a bereavement type loss along the lines of death.
So far, a vote apiece for 4 candidates, no clear 'loser' yet! |

I second that motion that it might not be loss by death. That would be a reason for the prophets to state that "it's OK."
T'Lorra's, er, involvement with the enemy capt'n might be a hint towards loss by treachery. On the other hand she tried to kill him and the "Romulan alone among Federation scum" situation would be a bit too obvious. Hard to tell, since she strikes me neither as the type to jump between the sheets with strangers nor as somebody who would swallow her pride and use that way to improve her position -- unless she was an awful lot more desperate that she had shown. Actually, the one to be lost might decide to stay at some planet for love. Now that would certainly be "OK." |

Not sure as to who he will loose, but I do think this, whoever is lost will have to be a bid blow to Ro as a character, otherwise what would be the point. Personally I don't think that the Laws character has been featured enough for either the viewers or Ro to be affected, where as, Stadi and T'Lorra have as well as Gillan the Doctor and Wozniak.
Whoever it is I wait with baited breath to see. |

Yes, I think that it will not be the obvious, but something more insidious (and something which will affect Ro even more deeply). I still have my suspicions about Dr. Vaughan being a bit more than what he seems. but, to me, the person that would have the most effect if "lost" -- either by death, deceit, tricked, or even consciously turning, would be young Mr. Gillen. An innocent... lost (to hatred? emotion? casualty of war? sacrifice? self-sacrifice?) who knows. (Well, we know who does know that answer... but we won't know for some time.). |

It could actually mean many things.
"Lost" might even mean that they're somehow returned to the Milky Way Galaxy, and he loses their expertise or insight... ...the prophets could even mean that he's going to lose THE one, and that those images were the thoughts in his mind desperately trying to substitute one of his friends for his husband... ...that's right. I went there. I'm an evil som'n som'n sometimes, aren't I? -Jonatha |

I think it will be some type of sacrifrice, like in the Wrath a Kahn. Where a crew member gives up themself to save the crew.
I think thatt if it is like that the most intersting canidate for that is T'Lorra, because it completely goes against what she is now all about. I see that in the upcoming seasons she sees a need for this crew to stick together, and ends up sacrificing herself to save the crew. |

If it is a death, and I'm not giving that, it should have a reason behind it. |

Well, it could be anything. As I meant to say above (and managed to totally balls-up), I get the impression that Stadi could well die saving T'Lorra.
Or, of course, the Kelvans might turn someone into a dodecahedron. Lost, but not permanently so... until the end of the arc when, trying to rescue their missing friend, the Odyssey crew see one of the Kelvans crush the dodecahedron into dust... |
