Could some one point me to answers for these two open FAQ's on the Wiki?

  • Whatever happened to BitTorrent? bulb.gif
  • How does one become a volunteer server host?

Cheers!

The server host item is now a moot point. All web services (including downloads) are now hosted in one place thanks to LTT.

BitTorrent was used a while ago when the higher res episodes were still only a special treat. Unfortunately it's a not a service we are able to provide as it requires constant seeding by volunteers. Although HF enjoys a certain popularity, it's not high enough to ensure the torrents would remain self seeding for any decent length of time. Also, technology has moved on a bit since then and we believe the direct download or online streaming options are the preferred method for most of the audience.

Very good. I shall put these answers in the hopper and throw it up on the Wiki sometime later this evening. It is now officially "martini time".

Thanks for your help!

These changes, and a few others, have been incorporated into an updated Downloading FAQ page here.
