EB4... the planning has begun!, Setting the date for EB4 Options

EB4! Yes, EB4!!

It's time to start checking your calendars and letting us know your preferred date for Excelsior Ball 4 in Los Angeles.

Ideally, the action would begin on Friday afternoon/evening and carry through until Sunday afternoon with the possibility of "Away Missions" on Monday (and maybe Tuesday).

For now, let's keep this topic related just to your preferred date for the event.

Early June or early July works best for me. Even though I have officially retired from Twin Cities Pride, I still do retain lifetime VIP privileges to the events, which I'd like to exercise.

I'm quite excited. And Andrew, if you need any of my conference planning skills (or software - I have some custom-built stuff that might come in handy), please let me know.

Pride weekend is 11-13 June; that's why I left it off the poll... as well as Memorial Day, which is sometimes excessively busy for people to travel.

Right now I couldn't begin to give you ideas for dates save for possibly Memorial weekend. That's because it all depends on if we have trials coming up at work. For instance, right now we have one trial next month that may or may not happen (we're hoping it won't because of some underhandedness by the other side) and two trials literally set for one right after the other in January (which may negate my ability to work at the convention I helped create!). So any date I put forward right now may flux if we get a trial calendar.

That'd be LA Pride weekend. TC Pride weekend is the third option on the list (the second option is the weekend of the lead-up events, which I can live without if need be).

Between David and LA Pride (which I assume is bad because LA hotels sell out?) which days are still on the table? I know Kuj hasn't had a chance to get to an EB too so we should probably try to accommodate him as well.

I appreciate y'all keeping me in mind. As long as it isn't the third option, I'm there, if I have to hitchhike.

As for LA Pride weekend, as it's centered in WeHo, if it were held outside of the core city, you might be OK when it comes to hotel rooms. But I understand Andrew's reasons for not including that weekend on the list.

Okay, so maybe it's looking like LA Pride weekend might be a potential good choice after all? Since we usually are at LAX anyway... Plus it might be a fun side trip to pride for some of the visitors...
