Tell me if I am wrong, but I was to believe that the first episode (or pilot/movie) was to be recorded on video, and continued on as audio.

Tell me if I am wrong, but I was to believe that the first episode (or pilot/movie) was to be recorded on video, and continued on as audio. You would be correct. The first movie would be "The Price of Duty" which is currently being scored/sound edited by Bodo Hartwig (last I heard, anyways).

the original 1997 movie is being remastered for re-release this year, that is correct.
