In HF, how well armed are the following starships:

Excelsior Class, Ambassador Class, Akira Class, Charleston Class, Intrepid Class and the Nebula Class?

Just curious.

Can you be more specific?  What kind of data are you seeking?  Number of launchers?  Overall power consumption, who would beat who?  And on HF it's the Rennaissance Class Mk II... ;-)

If you want information on various classes of ships, check ussmiranda.com, or http://www.angelfire.com/pq/AvengerBase/index.html.  They're all right sites.  I think the Miranda's database is down though.

Other ships that may or may not be part of the DS12 battle group:

USS Endeavor - Nebula Class
USS Sadat - New Orleans Class
USS Discovery - Galaxy Class
USS Excalibur - Galaxy Class Mk. II
USS Pioneer - Insignia Class
USS Aldrin - Olympic Class

What about that Oberth class ship that's often in the shipyard?

Wasn't there a Prometheus class?  Or did that get KIA'd?
Rob_C
Ah yes, the USS Olympus.  Destroyed in "Worst Fears Part II"

Rob
Joshua Underwood
Yes, that's when Commander Munoz's career ended with a bit of a bang. *chuckles* Though some people have said that he should have gotten a more heroic, dramatic end...but war has its casualties.

Nice... And with regard to specs--on those there in the list--a brief overview of Tactical specs.  That would be great.

Thanks for answering my question so completely.  Will there be another Prometheus-Class ship on base?  She was portrayed so well in that battle on "In Memory Of".

Major Tyler
Occasionally there is a Defiant-class ship that flys (very regularly) by Necheyev's window during briefings. 8)

Well you can infer all the canon ships specs from canon sources, like the TNG techical manual or sites like the ASDB.  http://www.asdb.org  is it?  Memory Alpha or Ex Astra Scientia.  Maybe someone who visits these sites regularly will post links.

As for the non-canon ships like the Renny or the Insignia, it's kinda up to the creators to post specs or for fans to fill in the gaps.  Hope that helps.

The other commission starship, the USS StickDeath, Starfleet registry NCC-78548, is  commanded by Captain Turbinator from StickDeath.com.
Rob_C
The following starships will be part of the task force assigned at DS12:

USS Hayden - Hayden class - NX-80000

This one gets my vote!  Named after Hayden Christiansen of course. ;-)

Rob
Bryan Seecrets
The USS Hayden (NX-80000) was the prototype of the Hayden class, a heavy cruiser equipped with an experimental cloaking device as well as the quantum slipstream drive, like the fake vessel USS Dauntless. The vessel was also equipped with holographic projectors on every deck since the USS Prometheus, allowing its EMH Mark II free range of the ship.

The following starships will be part of the task force assigned at DS12:

USS StickDeath - Sovereign class - NCC-78548
USS Kuala Lumpur - Sovereign class - NCC-79987
USS Ronald Reagan - Sovereign class - NCC-77654
USS Roslie Dhobie - Sovereign class - NCC-80778
USS Narnia - Sovereign class - NCC-81053
USS Zeus - Prometheus class - NCC-79905
USS Hayden - Hayden class - NX-80000
IKS Kor - Vor'cha class
IKS Kang - Vor'cha class
IKS Koloth - Vor'cha class
USS TallTale - Nebula class - NCC-74806
USS LegPuller - Olympic class - NCC-45868
IKS Misleader - Negh'var class
IKS Half-Life 2 - Vor'cha class
IKS Recumbant Waterfoul - Vor'cha class
USS Archer - Excelsior class - NCC-44276
USS Ride - Galaxy class - NCC-78204

The Federation starship USS Narnia is named after C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia, and the USS Ride is named after Sally Ride, a famous U.S. astronaut than Buzz Aldrin. The Klingon Vor'cha class ship Half-Life 2 is named after the sequel to the original Half-Life.

Recumbant Waterfoul?

IKS Recumbant Waterfoul - Vor'cha class

Careful sweetie. Hope you can tread water longer than a Recumbent Waterfoul...

Right. :( :?

Well. :bulb:

Back on topic (sort of); what kind of ship would be called "Recumbent Waterfoul"?  Doesn't that suggest a duck flying upside down?  Got any pictures of this Vor'cha class ship?

On the other hand, isn't that a rather long name for a ship?  Imagine the delays in giving commands when you have to spit all that out in order to coordinate fleet movements.

Perhaps it's a translation from the original Klingon?

i'm surprised noone mentioned the USS Areakt at one of DS12's starships, i'm more then certain that a person with a similar handle performed admirable feats in the field of fan films during the late 20th, early 21st century.

Excelsior Class, Ambassador Class, Akira Class, Charleston Class, Intrepid Class and the Nebula Class?

USS Miranda's links to the database may be down, but the database files are still intact. Here's the tactical information you were after...

Akira Class
Ambassador Class
Charleston Class
Excelsior Class
Intrepid Class
Nebula Class

Really?  And how, exactly, since you're not a member of the production staff, do you have access to all this information?

Not to mention, you have an awful lot of LARGE capital ships in a fleet the size of the one at DS12.  The numbers you have the station supporting are a bit large as well.

Somethin' tells me you're just tryin' to get a reaction out of folks.

But that's just me.

This is a possible list that is part of the task force leading an assault on the Grey's home star system.

What about the USS Areakt, starfleet registry NCC-81163, the Sovereign class starship that is assigned as part of DS12's task force?

Remember, the USS Narnia is one of the sovereign class starships are also part of it.

Bryan,

Perhaps you are under the mistaken impression that this is a collaborative fiction board.  It is not.  The folks at areakt studios may have accepted fan fiction in the past, but the ongoing plotline they have developed into the later seasons now provides more than enough material for the video that they have the resources to produce.

These are the fan forums of the Star Trek: Hidden Frontier fanchise.  We may offer speculations here on what is going to happen, or in the case of other fan-series producers, negotiate cross-overs for characters or actors, but it is now quite rare for a plot element to appear on these forums and from there, be incorporated into the show.  If you wish to write extensively in the section of the Star Trek universe that Hidden Frontier have expanded, there is a Fan Fiction forum for that purpose.

Well, since it's Starfleet...  ...it'd be the USS Christopher Clarkson... :-P

Since USS is short for United (or UFP, take your pick. :-P) Star Ship, HMS would not be appropriate, unless the craft was not under Starfleet registry protocol, which at that point, the NCC would be NAR or other three letter acronym.

Not Keran Azhan
Either way... I'm thinking she'll look like this...

Of course I'm plumping for a USS Vindenpawl...

if i may *sneak* back to topic quickly.........................

......It's been established that the USS Helena is a Rennissance "MK. II" class, so does that make me right in assuming that the earlier versions(like the Excelsior escorts of Season 2 and 3) are the Mk. I variant?  Is there any noticable difference between the two versions?...............................

No, the Excelsior escorts were also Mk. IIs.  The Rennaissance Mk. I is an older class of vessel, and doesn't have the gull-wing nacelle pylons.
